当我们宅一块
Hi all. Its been an awfully long time yeah! Ok lets see.
I'll be going on an exchange programme to Taiwan next year! (with Pei Min too!)
It's like one of my dreams coming true. Thank God for his grace and favour :)
So we're gonna be taking a break from the usual school routine and trying out a new experience.
Why Taiwan?
Our course dont exactly permit us to experiment too many countries.
Angmoh-speaking places are obviously out of the question since it'll be tough to clear our Chinese subjects. (sigh)
Lets just say TW is really the next best alternative for our 5-month-escapade.
That said, do start making next year's holiday plans and consider TW ok! :P
Right.
Oh, exams are coming in a month's time too. (The usual awakening)
As a Year 2 Undergrad, I've kinda grown accustomed to the Uni schedule- tests, presentations, reports, projects and more projects and even surprise projects?
Stress is unavoidable, but what we can do is to turn it into healthy stress yup?
Anws is it just me, or is this semester shorter ah?
Anyhow. Whatever that you've aimed to do but haven't, remember to get it done!
Lets not bid 2008 goodbye with regrets.
Be baccccckkk!

I could procrastinate like, forever.
OK another month just blinked by again!
So there, time for another self-note: That my July would be a month of relaxation & upgrading.
To learn what I've always wanted, get down to completing the tasks that I've procrastinated for more than a year(!) , and really enjoy the last few bits of summer vacation. (No right to call it a summer vacation in SG, i knows)
Yaaa...and the crafting of timetable for next semester.
OMG. EEEW.
I totally need to employ some Timetable Planner la.
Now that I've decided to move out of hall and Journey to the West requires truckloads of discipline, I do hope to see the least of duvet days, or duvet mornings.
.......This is pathetic, trying to kid myself, alamaks.
-SIGH-
Last semester taught me a lesson not to underestimate the potential destructive power of seemingly zuo bo modules. (Dear all, note: These are the most dangerous subjects, ever.)
*And refrain from touching the eleventh hour is a must, or no more INSTEP/GSS/Whatever for the next couple of years, .
*Background history: In January, I missed the deadline for INSTEP (Name of an exchange programme in NTU) online application. It goes like this...
1:20pm: "Hallo..? What? 2pm's the deadline? *Looks at watch* But I'm eating lunch. ... Ok, you can help me if theres still time after you're done with your own application form."
(FYI: We need to write an essay on a question that asks us why or how we think we can be ambassadors of NTU. Sth along that line, 'cos I've never had the chance to see how the form looked like anyways.)
1:45pm: "Woah you managed to help me type out that essay?? But not enough words? NEH MIND LAHHH, just send in lor! Better than never send in anything! *Gives username & password to kind friend*"
1:50, 1:53, 1:55pm: "HUH! Why the username and password wrong?? CORRECT WHAT. *Did triple check* Should be correct, try again."
1:59pm: "Still cannot?? Ahhh...Say out my username and password again! *Listens* *Thinks* *Thinks harder* OMG. MY USERNAME HAS ONE MORE 'E'...................."
2:00pm: -SYSTEM CLOSED-
Yes it was so drama.
Once I quit my current job, it ain't summer vacation no more.
It'll be my bummer vacation.

:)Labels: blabbers

Perspectives of lifeHow the week has been so far.

Hope everyone's getting along well. But life dont always go the way we want. Even if the situation seems rough, its gonna get better as the days go by. And if what you lack is luck, lets hope to have more of it coming in the new year :)Labels: blabbers

来不及Mean what you say and say what you mean. If its just so unattainable, then...dont even bother to say it.Dont merely pay lip service, 'cos nobody fancies such an insincere act.Do you get people doing this to you often?Dont you think its irritating.Owells.Anws, been really caught up with school stuffs. Mainly with the activities I'm involved in. (unfortunately...not yet caught up with school work, even though I need to get things started)Hur. Its been a mad rush. Crazeh. And I hope the week gets...better.Labels: blabbers

The Art of Happiness.
5th day into the start of a brand new year.Past three days were spent helping out as a mentor at an ite's leadership camp. Would say it was a refreshing way to start off the year with a reminder of the essence of service learning, and not forgetting some new revelations along the way too.But there was this buggerish voice constantly nagging at me during the camp: "Your holiday's ending..!!!" :( ((
Hai. actually...this holiday feels like a continuation of the long break i had earlier in '07.Seems as if school has never started since then.I think thats what long breaks do to you- it'll suck you into this new dimension thats detached from reality and just as you grow a lil too comfortable in it, you get sucked back into the real world once again. -grumble grumble-Still...the reality IS. school's starting in less than 2 days' time. And this semester feels uber festive that i wonder if there'll be any mood for studying, at all. lol.Frankly speaking, im still feeling kind of disoriented into the new year, but as ive said, its only the 5th day, so..hur. x=Wouldnt be too selfish to expect a lil more, right?I hate it that life's so unpredictable. Well, i say...i need to catch up on sleep, right now.Labels: blabbers

Havent blogged for a while!1st sem of uni is over, and i dont know how time passed by without me knowing. But nvm, 'cos this ever-so-cliche perennial feeling isnt an issue, at all.The main issue im concerned with is: INSTEP !!! (FYI: some overseas exchange programme)I think its a must-go, and anyone who've been on one would yearn to go on the second time yeah? But the picture painted may be a tad too rosy. think: possible destinations are limited (doubt i can go to any of my dream countries), many factors to consider (parental objection if any?$$$ to pay for air tickets, school fees, food, accommodation....etc?) deliberate planning such as subject match to clear those AUs...!And so, the odds of going on one lessened with every struggle to satisfy each of the questions.Nevertheless, i dont think i wanna give up this wish, 'cos among the myriad of uncertainties life offers, i know this is a certainty which i wont regret doing.

Mur tired tired. i like the idea of a hostel for taking afternoon naps. and a less than 10-min walk to school.so 90% of my time in ntu i walk, and the remaining 10% is when i take the internal shuttle bus or public transport.rhyme unintended.more updates soon, zzz.Labels: blabbers

Uni life thus far is making me dizzy, and im still learning to adapt amid the series of transitions.gosh, ive never walked so much in school before.its full of slopes at every corner- try travelling from one academic block to the next and you're bound to encounter several flight of steps.im totally gearing up for a triathlon. like, just bring it on man.and i witnessed 2 XXX (XXX is the erm, nationality x=) guys trying to cook their cup noodles using the MICROWAVE in the pantry. (when the hot water dispenser is beside them?)before seeing it for myself, ive heard stories about these amazing people, but when i really get to witness it....i was. stunned.also, it really doesnt help that my room is coincidentally the nearest to the pantry? so if an explosion (choy & touchwood) were to take place....dont ever think about it.call it a cultural difference is plain excuse la. i dont know what else can they do to redeem themselves after such stories circulate around the campus. but i cant deny the fact that there will still be nice XXXs around too, so. may i meet those soon.ok, shall update more soon and hope everyone's doing fine! :)Labels: blabbers

Im becoming all too sluggish and filled with reluctance for the impending switch come this august. how to cope with living in a seemingly forgotten area in sg without the familiarity and comfort of home (and family)?yeah, and be reminded that its time to study, all over again? -yawns-guess its gonna be tough adapting, and im really not ready for this change yet.the only perk now is going on a backpacking* trip to TW in july.*(the trip is more suited to be termed as 'backpacking' instead of 'free & easy' cos im gonna lug my haversack along)Labels: blabbers
