I have this problem tutee who:

- picked up smoking since Sec 1 (supposed to be Sec 3 now but the school forced her to be retained)
- thinks studying is a waste of time ("teacherrrr...dont do math, boring laaaaa"- not that i cannot attest to this, but as a tutor isnt is morally wrong to encourage her to have such negative thoughts!)
- has a bad record at school and several police reports filed against her since Sec 1
- AND NOW...because she told her friend to (either hit or slap, didnt really ask for the details since both are equally bad) another girl whom they felt was err, too bitchy, another police report was made and hence the school suspended her until the mid-yr exams

really, suspending a student when its nearing her exams is like literally sentencing her to death!
but hiring a tutor at this point of time when it is less than 3 weeks to the exams is pretty futile too!
what makes this whole situation even more tricky- my tutee left all her textbooks in school!

so i told her to either borrow or get the books back by next lesson, but whether she does..i dont know YET. =/
and now, the crux of this whole matter isnt how my tutee is going to get through her exams.
it feels more like how ME, the TUTOR, is able to see her through the exams.
before my intentions are misunderstood, i need to say that i have absolutely nth against the girl.
i only wish she would value this opportunity of receiving a (relatively) good education and be just a lil more motivated.
and it doesnt help when the mom condemns her for such a behaviour and thus lock her up in the house, thinking it would stop her from creating more trouble.

seriously..i dont feel like a tutor anymore.
please call me MISS. COUNSELLOR from now on. it is so much more apt. MUR!

alrights on a more light-hearted note, ive found a temp customer service job at the airport! since i'll be flying off in mid-may, i'll only be working for one week in the 2nd week of may. (they actually need 150 temp workers to commit between 1-3 weeks)
